Special previews open on August 11th with bonus live Green Day footage, tickets available now at select cinemas. Movie opens wide on August 14th.
I have my tickets! I’m more excited about the bonus footage than anything really, i’m sure the movie will be fine though. Hope it doesn’t bomb.
I’m so bummed they aren’t having a preview showing in my city but I will be there opening day. The movie looks better than I expected and I LOVE Mason Thames!!!

I don’t think it’ll bomb, it was probably pretty low budget so making that back shouldn’t be too hard. That said, comedy movies have had a tough go at the box office for the most part in recent years so i’m not expecting a whole lot. It will probably do decent numbers on streaming.

Kind of a dirty trick for the film to have that FOMO-inducing bonus exclusive footage, though in Spain tickets weren’t more expensive for August 11 so I’m guessing it’s just a strategy to have a greater turnout on release day?
I of course have two tickets for August 11 
but I would’ve gotten them even without the promise of extra footage
I think it’s just because people don’t go to the movies to see comedies so much these days so they are trying to give extra value to actually going to the theatre instead of waiting until it’s on streaming
I guess the new footage was OEB revrad and 2000 LYA! Hope everyone liked the movie, cant wait to see it myself!
I loved the movie but not sure how well it will go with people who don’t care about Green Day. But on the other hand I hate Kiss and I loved Detroit rock city so it should be fine. Could see it being like a cult favorite in a couple years maybe
Was better than I expected, obviously Green Day fans will appreciate it more but I think its gotta decent wide appeal. I see most theatres in my area aren’t showing it and the ones that are only have 1 showing a day so doubt it will have much impact but like others have said it could be one of those cult classics in the future. Maybe once it hits streaming it will get more love

What an insane setlist! It sucks most fans are stuck hearing the hits over and over and only a select few get to see these amazing shows

I wish I could see the movie but the nearest showing is 10 miles away!!! Sure I can wait until it’s on streaming but I want the real cinematic experience. Oh well

Im seeing it tomorrow but theres only one showing so I don’t think this will be in theaters very long? Probably on streaming within a month or two. Hopefully netflix so it gets more exposure
It won’t be I doubt, not even showing very much in the theaters it is in where im at, maybe once a day if they even have it
