What are you looking foward to that isnt Green Day

With Green Day still busy working on the new album there certainly has been no shortage of music. Paramore, Blink-182, and Fall Out Boy are all releasing new albums and all are going on tour (no offically word from FOB yet on the tour but they hinted at it) Metallica are releasing new music and Panic! is officially disbanding.

So what is the top album or group you are looking foward to either seeing or listening to in 2023?

100% looking forward to the new Blink record, along with the live shows. Im hoping for a live return of Mike Shinoda’s solo act, since its been years since he toured and I couldnt catch it that time round.

I have tickets to a sold out show for The Interrupters in May. I’m very excited about that. This is my fourth time seeing them and they’re always a lot of fun

Definitely interested in hearing the new Blink and will probably go see them in May or whenever it is that they are here.

Most excited to see PUP play this summer, seen them many times before but they always put on awesome shows.

Also looking forward to the next EP or album that Jack Kays puts out this year.

Absolutely pumped for new Paramore, I got a ticket to their tour and the album on pre-order so I’m ready for it!

I’m also really excited for Download festival. I have seen the headliners before, BMTH and Slipknot are favourites of mine, I love Evanescence, have seen them once, but I’ve never seen Ghost so tbh they are probably the band I’m most excited to see, I honestly can’t wait.

On the topic of Panic! disbanding, just to throw in my thoughts, I think it’s probably about time. Brendon has dragged it on long enough and with all the sort of controversy stuff floating around and that flop of a last album it’s high time he call it imo. Apologies to anyone who was a big fan tho, I understand the pain of a favourite band breaking up it does suck.

Hah the P!ATD Instagram post was pretty sad, but the comments were pretty brutal

I’ll quote a few:

  • ā€œi hope brendon urie and brendon urie will stay friends after thisā€
  • ā€œBro thinks he’s my chemical romance with this dramatic breakup postā€
  • ā€œman really saying ā€˜us’ like he isn’t the only damn one dragging that panic at the disco title long beyond it’s graveā€
  • ā€œbrendon really dropped the worst album of the century and then bouncedā€
  • ā€œthank god best news to ever hit 2023ā€

Jesus these are brutal but then again it is funny

That’s hilarious. I was joking that in ten years he and himself could do a reunion tour :joy:

Jokes aside congrats to him and his wife

Saw a post that said he was ā€œthe band equivalent of locking a zombie in a barn cause you’re too attached to who they used to be to take them outā€. I don’t even listen to patd but this shit is hilarious

:rofl: these are so funny ngl, the second to last one especially. I saw some videos from the shows he did for that tour and it just looked awful and the songs suck.

I absolutely love the singles Paramore have released so far from This Is Why, I’m gonna go absolutely feral at the show.

My friend and I gave the album a try. First song ten seconds in we just cracked up, it was so bad.

Yeah I tried to listen to the first 3 songs he released just so I could formulate an opinion and i was just like, he really needs to call it quits this is sad

Definitely excited for new stuff from Metallica, I haven’t listened to a ton of their newer music but the singles they dropped recently were pretty good

Honestly, the first song, while still bad, is one of the highlights of the album. The really laughable songs don’t come until halfway through when you reach Star Spangled Banger
