Were the songs on the sweet children ep new or old?

I heard that they recorded old songs from early in their career when they were still sweet children for the ep but I don’t know if that’s true. Were they old songs or new songs?

The EP is from when they were Sweet Children, which is found at the end of Kerplunk

What do you mean its from when they were sweet children? The songs you mean are from that time?

They were all old songs that they had previously played live while still going by the name Sweet Children. All three of the original songs had been first played in 1988 or 1989 prior to the band changing their name in April of '89.

A lot of fans get confused that the EP was recorded when they were Sweet Children due to the name but the only material recorded by Sweet Children was actually the 1000 Hours EP but they changed their name just prior to it being printed.
