¡TRÉ! is so inconsistent

¡TRÉ! definitely has good songs on it, but the order of tracks just feels like it could be so much better. Brutal Love feels like a strange opening already and then going into Missing You just felt so confusing. The Forgotten and 99 Revolutions could definitely be swapped as well, felt like they forced a ballad ending there. Wondering if anyone else has similar opinions on the album.

Honestly I don’t listen to the album all together anymore. I think each song was intended to be a powerful arena rock song or something and it gets repetitive really fast.

Basically the story of the triology tbh

Yeah it feels like a ton of leftovers that weren’t even considered to be put in any order.

Dirty rotten bastarda and walk away are the only good things there. Should be on a better album

Yeah, while I like the other songs I do feel like they can be quite formulaic and repetitive sounding (as the Trilogy ends up being)

In the ¡Cuatro! documentary, you see Billie trying to figure out where to place all the songs onto a board with the album names. I get the vibe that Billie focused on ¡Uno! first, was really proud of the tracklisting, then put his second favorites on the other two albums, and made ¡Tré! a little lackluster, but tried to give it a little ballad ending like you suggested lol.

Yeah I remember watching that Doc and when he went to TRE it definitely more so seemed like he just put the rest on that album. Same goes for DOS it also seems like you said but DOS has a consistent theme with it being referred to as “The second FBHT album”. The ballad ending and the strong starting track is the only link of “structure” it really has.
