Thoughts On Panicland?

Panicland is a band originating from Canada and they have released several songs throughout the years. You guys might recall the prank they did when they released fake Green Day songs from an album called Magnum Opus of The Inglorious Kind a few years ago. Definitely caught people off guard when Green Day announced Father of All Motherfuckers.

Here’s the video they posted regarding the prank;

Since then, they have been writting more music and as of now, it seems they have split up/formed a new name along with swapping a member out for another. (Braedon, the lead singer, and his brother Riley are still together, but it seems they changed the bass player out.)

I personally love their music and have been trying to archive the music that they haven’t officially released, but I know some people don’t share the same admiration for their music as I do.

So, what’s your guys thoughts on Panicland?

Tbh the day or so we thought they were green day songs they sounded good but once they released the full versions I didn’t much care for them

Meh the project was cool at first but I quickly became disinterested. Looking back he sounds less like Billie on the album and more like Jakob Armstrong from Ultra Q

Besides the tribute GD project I don’t find anything else interesting. Rome falls is a banger though.

Definitely a great song! Their music not related to MooTIK is really good and I’m surprised they haven’t had more recognition.

When it first dropped, I thought it sounded exactly like Billie lol. He does kinda sound like Jakob, but there’s some songs that sound like Billie trying to channel American Idiot energy.

I’ve only heard The Edge from them besides the Magnum Opus stuff. Decent song but nothing compared to what is ironically their magnum opus at the moment.

I really liked them. They were active with lives during early 2020 in the lockdown I really got to know their music and became a fan. I really haven’t heard anything lately.

Yeah, they usually keep quiet, which is kinda a shame since I would love to hear from them publicly. I always loved getting a notification that they were live on Instagram lol.

They have been releasing a handful of music since then, however it’s just been some demos or just one of the guys sharing the music to some people. I can’t exactly confirm it, but Braedon and Riley may return soon under a new band name.

Great song by them lol. And yeah, hope some news drops soon, they shared on Instagram they were doing some final mixes on a song a few weeks ago, but then went quiet again.
