My favourite part of watching pre-Dookie performances of songs that would end up on the album is the complete indifference the crowd has to them and knowing that they will become iconic later but they mean nothing to anyone watching at the time…but they got nuts over songs from their Lookout days.

Yeah, I love watching anything from right before Dookie, because it’s so interesting to see it now that we know what comes later. Seeing them right on the cusp of crazy success.

Yeah, this came up in my YouTube recommendations about two weeks ago. It is really weird to hear these songs when they were brand new and to see how indifferent the audience is to them before they became classics. Also, the wienies just may be the best part. I was honestly hoping Billie would throw the tray of them into the crowd LOL.
