Let’s just say they’re not with their families, not having a conversation, it’s not too crowded etc. If you saw one of the members of gd in public (in a situation unrelated to the band), would you come up and talk to them?
Yeah

For me personally, id probably want to but I’m also pretty conscious abt other people’s privacy and all that. Ik we’ve sorta talked about this in the past but I’m really curious what the general opinion is
Tough choice. I would definitely be tempted to in an appropriate situation like the one you described, because I wouldn’t want to miss the chance to tell them how much I love their music and thank them for being a positive force in my life. Billie in particular seems to really enjoy meeting fans as long as they are respectful. But on the other hand, I probably would still feel like I was imposing on them, and also I would probably be super nervous and afraid I would make a fool out of myself.
Definitely it would depend on the situation but I fear I would turn into a mumbling idiot. If I happened to look up or something though, and one of them was right there, then the involuntary squeal would probably give me away.
I’m not usually one to bother celebs, but if the situation was just right, yeah I’d probably go up to them. Tbh, I might leave Mike or Tre alone, but Billie, I’d just want to thank him for writing lyrics that really spoke to me throughout the years. Wouldn’t make a fuss or even ask for a picture, just a quick and casual acknowledgment of his legacy.
I’ve actually thought about this a lot as I almost took a job with Crush Music two years before Green Day signed with them lol. No clue what I would have done if I had ended up there!
In the very off chance I see Billie, Mike or Tre wandering around in Ontario, I would be scared out of my mind but get the courage to go up to them. Of course if they’re with family or others I’d leave them alone. Gotta respect em
I think the asking for a photo thing is really difficult, I would probably feel pretty bad about asking for one but I just know that if I didn’t get one I wouldn’t believe it had really happened before long. I would regret not getting one.
Sure. I was at one of the NYC shows. I stood in a hallway where the bands lounge was because it was the only place i felt like i wasnt going to get squished, while the opening band was on, I was was standing next to the door of the lounge, it was a very small place. I saw the door open, people were going in and out of it but this time it was Billie, we looked at each other, he smiled at me, i tapped him on the shoulder, he looked at me and leaned in ready to listen. It was so loud in there but i quickly mouthed in his ear that i was happy to be there, he smiled and stood next to me for minute before going back in the lounge, a fellow tapped me on the shoulder after, who happed to be the musician Jessie Malin, he didnt want Billie to get swarmed by fans. I met Bill who I also chatted with i asked him about the guitar store. I told him i wasnt one of those annoying fans that stand in the front and swarm Billie he seemed to like that. Adrienne said hi to me and i pushed the lounge door open for her. After the show I said hi to Jeff Matika told him the show was awesome. The band waljed passed me twice and i waved to Billie. It was the best 27.50 dollar deal ive ever had.
