If I had to pick one not on this list, it’d be Know Your Enemy. Something about that song…I just got tired real fast but I like how BJA interacts with the audience by pulling up someone during the bridge

I’ve seen a lot of people say they’d take off Hitchin a Ride…which is one of the worst opinions I’ve ever read in my life. I could go without him dragging it on for 10 minutes but holy shit experiencing that bridge live is incredible.

I wouldn’t remove Good Riddance either. It’s the perfect closer and it makes me sob every time I see them play it. I think personally I’d do away with Knowledge or King for a Day. I love both of them but they take up so much time. If they keep playing that goddamn Kiss cover then I choose that instead.

You didn’t list the ones I most want to kill off which are the American Idiot songs, mostly Holiday and BOBD. Enough already. For the poll of top songs I picked Knowledge. Give away the guitar for a new song. It’s a cover anyway and I’m sick of it.

Fr! They know we’ve all heard them a million times already. AI is a great album but it’s becoming grating hearing their greatest hits again and again.

Only listed the top 10 most played HOWEVER those were apart of the top 15

I must be in the minority here when I say I still want the biggest hits and staples to be played at their shows. I mean yeah, it gets boring watching them play the same songs when you’re not there in person…but at the show? They could be pissing into the microphone and I’d still go crazy. The day I go to a Green Day show and they don’t play Jesus of Suburbia is the day I stop existing

Yeah I get where everyone is coming from here but 95% of the audience at shows aren’t like us devouring every bit of Green Day content we can get until we get sick of seeing the hit singles.

During Covid when they lifted restrictions a bit we were excited to go see a band play an outdoor show after having no shows for so long. I’m a fan of the band but not hardcore so when they played several deep cuts and 4 new songs from an album that hadn’t been released yet it really killed the vibe.

So for Green Day I’m good with them keeping the casual fans happy with the hit singles but it was nice when they would play a few random deep cuts in the middle of the set for the hardcore fans.

As you say, there does need to be a balance though. My biggest gripes with the last tour was nothing but hits and they didn’t play anything newer than 2010 (apart from a new cover and initially Still Breathing and Pollyanna which were cut later)

I do agree that they should include more deep cuts. I think the 21CB tour is the perfect example of having a nice balance between the two.

lol same, I was expecting some AI songs as well. Agree with you on Holiday and BOBD. I’m just… tired of those, honestly. I haven’t lost interest in any of the ones listed in the poll, but if I had to choose it’d be Knowledge.

Yeah, and I think it’s totally understandable given the length of their career. They have SO MANY popular songs. Ideally, we’d just get a four hour set of hits and deep cuts lol.

true! this may be an unpopular opinion, but bobd is definitely not even close to being my favorite green day song. don’t get me wrong, it’s a REALLY good song, but i think it’s been overplayed so fricking much that i find myself skipping it quite a bit when it comes on my playlist.

Same goes with all of those top tens. For some reason though, When I Come Around somehow doesn’t get old for me. Everything else though… heard one too many times on the radio

None of the Dookie songs get old for me except maybe Longview though I still don’t mind it. They’re all fast and fun live

I hate the people that say they like Green Day and only play Holiday or Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Like your not a fan if you hear the song once on radio lol.

same! i could listen to when i come around all day long, but a lot of the other really popular songs i tend to skip unless i’m really in the mood, which isn’t quite often lol

Replace KYE, Knowledge, and Rock and Roll All Night with pretty much any GD song, and I’d be very happy.

Agreed with When I Come Around. Tbh, none of the big hits from Dookie get old for me.

I like the other songs you said but the kiss cover is :face_vomiting:
