All the videos of this performance were either HD video with low quality audio or the exact opposite. So, I edited the video and audio to make a HD audio/video of the performance, enjoy.
Awesome work Matt! Btw, if you paste the YouTube link into the post it will embed and be easier for people to watch.
Thanks Jason, I was trying to figure out how to do that on here, so thank you!
For whatever reason I’ve never really gotten into the album version of this song but I like it so much better live.
I personally love the Trilogy, the sound and feel of the albums gives me a feeling I cant quite describe, almost like youre just free, floating in space without care or consequence.
Trilogy is so good, well most of it. Uno is one of their best albums but it gets no attention because everyone just looks at the whole thing as a failure
The biggest hate with the Trilogy comes from 2 things: Lyrical content and iHeartRadio 2012. I for one, love the lyrics and the sound of the record, it talks about things people arent comfortable talking about, and underlines them. iHeartRadio gave Billie the chance to get clean, and properly sort his emotions out. People can easily see the negative, but hardly ever the positive.
I agree with this so much! People also worry to much about Billie and what he does with his life. Like he’s a grown man with adult children he’ll be fine. I think I saw on Reddit maybe someone was like “it’s good cavallo is back he’s like a father figure to Billie” like where do you even get this stuff lol
Agreed! The live version is what really sold me on this song.
People project A LOT when it comes to Billie, but that happens with a lot of frontmen. Billie is an especially easy target for this because his lyrics are so vulnerable, so I can understand why people feel like they know him personally, but at the same time, it’s smart to take a step back and remember that he’s a literal stranger, and we really don’t know anything about him/his personal life.
So true! I think I just find it strange because I dont really care at all much about their personal lives. As long as their happy great but I am a fan of the music and dont need to know everything happening behind the scenes.
Yeah, and sometimes I prefer not knowing anything about the musicians whose music I can relate to. It’s better to not ruin the illusion lol.
I agree so much with what’s been said above. I was gutted at Oh Love as a single but the live performances were fantastic. I am interested in them as people, got more so than I expected to because of some of the really good things I read but yes, we don’t know them at all.
Yes even though this time was a mixed bag, there was some great songs and even though the iheart incident was not a great moment for him. It saved his life, and their tour after his treatment was great. They jammed like crazy and it was wonderful and powerful seeing him reconnect with the fans after that.
Yes i agree with the above. People who speculate or get all in Billies as well as the others, business are foolish and miss the point. Since we do not know him personally we only know a portion of him and his life, but what we do know is whats most important, why we are here and why we like and admire him in the first place, for his musical gifts, vulnerability, passion to stand up for others and his kindness and funloving nature with his work and fans. Everything else is irrelevant in the big picture.
