So blink already have a single, Tom back and a sold out tour and Green Day seemed to have delayed their album to 2023 knowing they will directly compete with Blink and brought back Rob Cavallo and seem to be hyping 1972 like it’s something big again. Who will have the bigger album?

I think they’ll both have big years but Blink have more hype behind them with Tom coming back so that will be tough to compete with. I think commercially it will probably be Blink for that reason but I could see Green Day having more critical acclaim and pick up more awards. I really believe the new album will be a big bounce back for them.

I think Blink will win the Battle (2023), but ultimately, Green Day wins the war (longevity). So pretty much how it’s always been lol.
Blink keeps getting hype bumps from breaking up and Tom leaving and Matt joining and Tom joining again while Green Day just keeps chugging along lol. Blink will have the bigger tour but Green Day will have the bigger album
With the new Blink album, and Tom coming back, I can see them having more of a hype around it since they havent toured together in forever. But, from what weve heard of 1972, Im more excited for that.
Idk to be honest I pay very little attention to Blink-182, I’ve never really got into them. That being said I feel like Green Day don’t have as much “drama” these days as Blink so sometimes I feel like they don’t have as much hype surrounding them if that makes sense. I think if Green Day put out a decent album tho they could ‘win’ lol.
I really loved the new song Blink dropped a while ago, I love hearing Tom’s vocals in songs. Really looking forward to what Green Day has been working on, but in terms of who’s having a bigger album, I think Blink might have it. Ever since Tom left their music hasn’t exactly been my favorite, it doesn’t even sound like Blink-182 in my opinion. Their new single however takes it back to how they sounded in the early 2000’s and I can see that being more of a selling point for long time fans.
I’m not a big Blink fan but I am a big Alkaline Trio fan and liked Matt Skiba’s influence on Blink, I like his dark side. I think the hype around Blink will give them extra impact and Edging is a pretty good song, cannot vote for Blink over Green Day, brain just won’t let me 
. I hope for a real blast of an album from Green Day
Love both blink and Green Day, but I’d have to say Green Day will have the better album. Think of what happened after Warning (very unsuccessful in terms of performance), they came out with American Idiot. Now, they have a similar situation. The unsuccessful Father of All. I know our boys will pull through and make another kickass album!

I agree haha just mostly wanted to see whether people thought hype would win out over talent in this case…not that bliink arent talented but they are a level lower than green day I think
I think hype will only get you so far. Then you need the goods to back it up
