Green Day paid tribute to the Ramones in the 2002 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame show by playing Teenage Lobotomy, Rockaway Beach and Blitzkreig Bop.

I honestly didn’t know this was a thing until now and I love it lol. Always awesome to see when they do covers of bands that have influenced them in some way.

Were the kids bouncing around in front of the band not supposed to be family members of the Ramones? It’s a great performance, I love when Green Day come out and blast the audience out of their seats, same at the Tony Awards.

Their 2012 HoF performance of Letterbomb is like that too. Super high energy and when he throws his guitar at the end and takes that cheeky bow like he knows how badass they are
