Favorite Dookie song?

In honor of Dookies 29th anniversary today, which is your favorite song? (Couldn’t figure out how to do polls haha so this will have to do)

In The End is probably my favorite. Longview’s up there.

She is the one song from Dookie that I never get tired of

Having a blast for sure, although burnout is a close second

Grateful you couldn’t figure out how to do a poll, because it would have been painful having to choose just one! She, Burnout, and Basket Case are all tops for me.

Pulling Teeth. I’m a huge fan of the vocals for some reason. When I Come Around is probably the only big hit song from GD’s discography I won’t get tired of.

When I Come Around was the song that got me into the band so I’d have to go with that as my favourite but I think She I didn’t appreciate as much at the time but now I think is one of their best songs ever.

Got to be Basket Case as I still remember the first time I heard it on the radio. Totally agree with @Jason about She.

Yeah burnout is mine but so hard to pick when there are just no bad songs on the album!

Basket Case is so relatable to me, plus its the first GD song I learnt on electric so its special to me for that reason

After posting this and some thinking, I couldn’t just choose 1 so here are a few that are tied for no. 1: Longview, Pulling Teeth, Sassafras Roots, In the End and FOD

Burnout because it’s the perfect opener and I just love the line “I’m not growing up, I’m just burning out”. If that isn’t the voice of a generation :black_heart:

Officially Basketcase, but if someone asked me, what is rock? Welcome to Paradise, especially the bridge, would be my answer.

I would say she is my favorite. Remember when billie joe and billie elish did that rolling stone interview and they asked her what her favorite song was and she said all by myself lol and billie was just looking it her like “wow the joke song i didnt even write”

Lol, I’ve only seen the interview once so I don’t really remember. Just not a big fan of Billie Eilish

Longview was one of their first songs I heard and I fell in love with it. If it wasn’t for that song, I wouldn’t have explored all the other songs Green Day has to offer. Pulling Teeth and Basket Case are tied as my second favorites.
