I know this is unpopular, but I am SO excited lol. Especially if it’s anything like the Nimrod set. Dookie was just so formative for me, I will celebrate even it’s small anniversaries.
Also, they pinned this post, so some announcement is definitely coming.

Not unpopular at all, this is the one I’ve been waiting for! Really hoping to finally hear the Dookie version of Christie Road, that alone would make it amazing for me. The only thing this set has against it is that aside from Christie Road, all of the known demos and recordings from these sessions are already out there unless there’s something we don’t know about.

I was thinking the same about Christie Rd being the only demo we haven’t heard, so I’m hoping there’s more we just don’t know about. My dream would be a decent amount of actual footage from their time recording it, but I feel like we’d have gotten that by now if it existed.
Green Day content from the Dookie era is my jam, and I’ll take anything they wanna give!

ok so i have a prediction, i think they’re probably posting all of this before the actual 30th anniversary to release the boxset exactly on february 1st, because last year with nimrod and before with insomniac it was kind of disappointing having to wait some months after the actual anniversary for their releases. And i don’t think this will interfere with the new album because probably after august or september they will stop with the dookie30 announcements to start promoting the new album.

The more I think about it, the less I think they’ll do American Idiot 20 this year. I’m thinking they’ll wait for a 25th or 30th anniversary
