This is totally random, but I was looking at the list of band shoutouts in the liner notes of an MxPx cd and I noticed that one of the bands named was ‘Blink-187’:
I looked into it, and I couldn’t find anything on a band under that name around the time of the album’s release. (For context, MxPx is a punk rock band out of Washington state and the album was released in 1996). My next assumption was that they were referring to Blink-182, but if that was the case, then why didn’t they say that?
My working theory is that it was a joke or just a typo, but idk maybe they really were referring to someone else entirely.
I know that this is very loosely related to the forum, but I was just wondering if anyone has any insight or maybe knows of a subreddit or smth that might know. The curiosity is slowly consuming me, and I don’t really listen to Blink-182 (or MxPx, for that matter) so I’m kinda out of my depth here lol
