For me it’s When I Come Around. It’s popular, and the local stations play it kinda often, but no matter how many times i listen to it I can’t bring myself to like it. I don’t even know what it is about it, it just doesn’t feel right and I can’t connect to it like I can with other songs. Do you have a song like this?
I’m so glad someone else dislikes that song.
I unironically love father of all- whole album.
I love the trilogy.
I’d listen to any song, even nightlife.
But oh, oh my god, I HATE when I come around. It’s my least favorite song, just in general.
Literally! I’ve never even found another song that just gives me the ick like this one. Even cringier songs don’t give me the same feel.
I dont think there’s any popular ones I dont like but I dont feel bad skipping When I Come Around, Good Riddance, or Wake Me Up When September Ends
Panic Song! I really, really hate it!
I also don’t like Good Riddance, its just a whole Song of whiny standart lyrics-
WHAT! @HermesOfSurburbia you don’t like the panic song, bad fan! just joking, it’s amazing how different people like different things.
I always find a way to skip When I Come Around. Dare I say it’s reached overplayed status?
I wouldn’t say that I dislike any but the hits like American Idiot, WMUWSE, BOBD, I tend to skip a lot just because I like their other songs more
It might sound unpopular and even disrepectful but She, Welcome to paradise and st jimmy are songs that I roll my eyes when they play them live. It’s not that i don’t like them it’s just I feel there are better songs for a show. Usually skip those songs when i look back any of those albums.
There’s no popular songs that I actively dislike, but I’d be fine if Jesus of Suburbia were retired from the setlist. And was happy She and Letterbomb were retired.
And not unpopular, but would absolutely love it if Know Your Enemy was retired.
Well She wasnt retired lol but ouch Letterbomb is a damn banger
100% agree with Know Your Enemy. I would want a song from Rev Rad to take its place imo
Blasphemous!!!
But honestly, 21 Guns and most of the singles from American Idiot (other than American Idiot and JOS) are almost unlistenable to me at this point. I heard them too much back then.
Weirdly, none of the singles before AI have that effect on me, but I think because I’m just more nostalgic for that time time period than the early 2000s.
For some reason, i just cannot listen to holiday anymore. I would consider it one of the songs that got me into the band, but I think I’ve listened to it so much that it’s grating to hear now lol
Also not a fan of know your enemy and kill the dj, I think they’re both pretty weak tracks in comparison to the rest of their respective albums
Whattttt? I love Kill the DJ…but I do see how it can be off-putting
Yeah I don’t actively hate it but I find Kill the DJ kind of grating sometimes, it’s a 50/50 as to whether I skip it when it comes up.
I’ve never been a fan if Kill The DJ, doesn’t fit for me,
Yeah I don’t completely hate it, it’s just a little repetitive imo. I find myself skipping it more often than not
JOS has been one of the biggest highlights of every show I’ve been too
21 Guns. I just really do not like it. I have no reason why but I skip it everytime it’s on shuffle
