I just saw them for the first time in May as an emergency opener for the Interrupters when their co-headliner got sick. I thought they were good. Now this is giving off total SWMRS vibes and apparently they also acted all pro-feminist. I wonder what The Interrupters think. They seemed to be friends.

I listened to the podcast and the victim’s story is genuinely hard to listen to. Them suddenly breaking up the same day that episode came out doesn’t seem like a coincidence.
Ironic coming from a band with a song called “Feminism Is For Everybody (With A Beating Heart And A Functioning Brain)”

Anti-Flag has been one of my favourite bands since I saw them open for Green Day in 2005. I will still love their music and their message, but I’m truly heartbroken to know that Justin Sane turned out to be this monster. I was also scheduled to finally photograph them this October after 4 years of trying to do so. Just so disappointed and angry all around. I hope the other band members find a new music family, whether together or in separate ways.

Two of the guys are in another band, so maybe that one could become more active. I don’t think they will try and get a new singer for Anti-Flag because the name is tainted, but maybe the whole gang could find a new singer and do a whole different vibe.
